A full wedding day photographed the way it actually unfolded, with two photographers covering the getting ready, the ceremony and the reception without pulling anyone out of their own celebration.

Canyonwood Ridge sits out over the Hill Country west of Austin, and the late light there is worth planning a timeline around. Coverage on days like this runs from the first quiet hour of preparation through to the last of the dancing.

Documentary coverage means waiting for the moment rather than staging it. The reactions in a gallery like this one are the reason we shoot with two photographers on every wedding.

Harper Hill Ranch is one of the venues we return to most often, sitting between San Antonio and New Braunfels with open ground in every direction and room to work well past sunset.

Mattie's Green Pastures is an old Austin house with grounds that photograph beautifully in the last hour of daylight. Austin sits comfortably inside the travel included with every wedding collection.

Real over perfect. What lasts from a wedding day is not the arrangement of the details but the look on someone's face when they think nobody is watching.

The Menger has stood beside the Alamo since 1859, and a wedding there means working through historic interiors and out onto downtown streets. San Antonio is a regular drive for us and carries no travel fee.

Rockport is a short drive up the coast from the studio, and Heritage Place gives a wedding both the shade of the grounds and the light coming off the water in the evening.

Park 31 sits in the hills outside Dripping Springs. Venues like this reward an unhurried timeline, which is why our collections are built around whole days rather than a fixed shot list.

Every wedding collection includes two photographers, an online gallery, and full download and printing rights, so a couple can print their photographs wherever they like.

Pine Creek Cookhouse sits at the top of the Castle Creek valley outside Aspen. Destination work has taken us to Colorado, Montana, South Carolina and Banff, and we are glad to travel for it.

Wedding galleries are delivered in roughly eight weeks, online and downloadable, with the printing rights that let a family order albums and prints on their own terms.

Rustic Falls sits on Vaughn Ranch outside Corpus Christi, close enough to the studio that we know how the light moves across it through the afternoon.

Two photographers on every wedding means the room is covered from both sides at once, which is how the reaction and the moment that caused it end up in the same gallery.

An engagement session is how we get to know a couple before their wedding day, and how they get used to being photographed. Sixty to ninety minutes, wherever suits them.

No stiff posing and no micro-managed directing. We give a couple something to do rather than a pose to hold, then photograph what happens next.

Engagement sessions start at $650 and are discounted when they are booked as part of a wedding collection. Most couples come away with a set they use for save the dates.

The best engagement sessions happen somewhere a couple already knows. Real life and natural light, which is the whole approach in five words.

Cinnamon Shore on Mustang Island is where a lot of Coastal Bend families end up for their portraits, usually in the hour before the sun goes into the dunes.

On-location family sessions start at $750 and cover up to seven people. What comes back is a private online gallery with the rights to print it anywhere.

Children are not good at holding a pose and there is no reason to make them. We let a session move, and the photographs that last are the ones nobody was arranging.

The Weiss Family

Portrait galleries are delivered in about two weeks. Sessions are photographed within thirty miles of Corpus Christi as standard, and further afield by arrangement.

The Sawdon Family

We have photographed more than three hundred family sessions since 2011, and the ones that work best are the ones where everybody forgets we are there.

The Wagner Family

Slice of Life sessions run two to three hours at home, starting at $850, for families who would rather be documented than posed.
